WELCOME TO AMINTA’S!
Our food and recipes are rooted in the shared culture of Senegal and The Gambia, where history, geography, and community are deeply intertwined.
The Gambia, a narrow stretch of land carved through the heart of Senegal along the Gambia River, has long been a crossroads of movement, trade, and exchange.
Influences from Wolof, Mandinka, Fula, and Serer cultures, along with North African and European trade routes, have all shaped the region’s cuisine.
The result is a rich, communal food tradition where dishes, spices, and techniques are shared across borders and generations, and every meal tells a layered story.
